In the past few weeks, Yui has been busy incorporating ingredients from Canada, Japan, and Taiwan. She has been testing her new recipes and determining how she is going to “paint” the new sweets. I saw the work in process and was really impressed with her unique and charming aesthetic vision.

Yui prefers to bring out the natural taste and sweetness of ingredients themselves, no dairy, no egg, so her creations might break people’s perception of desserts.

In my opinion, Soil Creation would definitely be a wonderful surprise and a challenge to most people’s taste buds and senses— miso, cocoa, sweet beans, and mushroom, I just could not imagine how it would taste like. I guess I will find out at Taiwanfest.

However, the Sky Creation visually would take the crown. Without ruining the surprise, I would show you a picture of the reflected sky. Would you like to taste a sunset?

But according to team members who were lucky enough to taste her creations during trials, the Sea Creation seemed to receive a lot of praises.

So please join Yui at The Kitchen of Sweetness at Taiwanfest to witness how her Canadian experience had inspired her in her creations. Aren’t you curious what the grass, sea, sky, sun, and soil taste like?
